Student Employment
The Survey Lab employs University of Chicago students to fulfill its twin missions of training students in the methods of social science and carrying out high quality data collection for academic and non-profit researchers. Students benefit from working at the lab by learning the practical steps involved in social science research. Because we are a small shop, students typically have the opportunity to work across projects and to learn about all phases of project work. Students appreciate our on-campus location and our ability to accommodate student schedules that may change weekly throughout the quarter. The Survey Lab often seeks students with strong verbal, social and writing skills as well as those with analytic and statistical skills. We employ primarily graduate students, but hire some undergraduates as well. If you are a student at the University of Chicago interested in working at the Survey Lab, please send your resume by email attachment to the operations manager.
